This book covers it all. I'm diabetic and need to watch my carbs. This book lists all the foods and resturant menu's too. Just what I needed.
It is small, it is handy, you can virtually take them anywhere. If you are watch the car and on diet. You should own one of these books. Stop eating the wrong food and start eating right.
It is easy to find the items you are looking for in this book, it is informative, has a thorough listing, and yet is fairly compact. I have ordered three other ones over the past year for different people that loved mine.
I need to watch my diet. Like most men I like "manly" foods, meaning I know virtually nothing about nutrition and diet.In a course, I was given a copy of this book - and I learned that most of what I'm eating may taste good, but it isn't the healthiest choice I could make. The book is well designed. There's a modest amount of well edited basics on diet, exercise, diabetes and health - and then pages and pages of tables showing the calories, fat and carbohydrates for thousands of foods, including packaged foods and restaurant meals.Of course, it will end those carefree days of chowing down on something from McDonald's or Taco Bell, once you see how many calories, how much fat and carbohydrates you're ingesting.Small enough to carry with you - and worthwhile as well. There is little significant difference between annual editions, so you might want to buy only once every two or three years.Jerry
It was a great guide for when I had gestational diabetes & had to count my carbs very closely.
